I'm not sure what I would have thought had you told me 15 years ago that I would be the photographer for Mary-Paige's wedding! Back then of course, Mary-Paige was more concerned with keeping our stuffed animals healthy in an exciting game she called "Animal Doctor." I'm not sure why this is just now hitting me, but pretty sure we could have just called that game "Vet." From sleepovers and dress up to capture the flag, pretend court cases, and "Dr. Silly Bones" (guess she was always destined to be in the medical field), I have nothing but fond memories of summers and holidays spent with Mary-Paige and all the cousins.
Alex on the other hand... just kidding! What a guy. When I found out Mary-Paige had started dating this boy I graduated high school with, I truly thought it was so great! I'm sitting here reflecting on how funny life is and how "if we only knew then what we know now." Thrilled for these two and so excited I got to be a part of their day. What a joy and privilege to capture this wedding and to celebrate their first day of marriage! Congratulations, MP and Alex!
Sleepy Hollow Barn and Plantation in Clemson, SC is a dream! It exceeded my expectations and was simply beautiful!
This necklace! Mary-Paige wore it on her wedding day, as did her mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, AND great-great-grandmother! Super vintage and SO special!
Each bridesmaid individually prayed over Mary-Paige that morning. The deeply rich prayers were a blessing to listen to, and the love for Jesus was evident. Mary-Paige and Alex have so much love surrounding them!
The first look with her dad and brothers was so special and had me in tears!
Mary-Paige and Alex wanted the first time they saw each other to be when she was walking down the aisle. So instead of a first look, they took some time before the ceremony to pray and read their private vows to each other without seeing one another. This photo below was one of Mary-Paige's favorites because she happened to be holding her written vows in such a way that I could only see the name these vows were addressed to, "Alex."
Phew! Did you make it to the end? I'm impressed if you did! I had so many favorites to share. Which photo is your favorite?!
