Zach and Logan are expecting their first baby and wanted photos to document this season of anticipation. I bundled a package for them, so they're also getting newborn photos in their home once baby arrives! It's going to be sweet.
I tried something new for this maternity session in Raleigh, NC. I had Zach and Logan start our time together by filling out a short little baby prediction sheet. It included questions about baby's birth date, what they hope the baby inherits from the other person, and things like that. Then I took their answers and tucked them away in my bag until the end of the session.
One of the very first real sessions I ever did back in 2018 was a maternity session at Yate's Mill. I hadn't been back for a photo session in quite some time, and it made me realize I'm missing out! It's a good, free session location that only requires a permit (which is easy to get as long as they're not already taken). I snagged one the night before because we changed our original session location due to all the rain we had just gotten. During warmer, busier months, they may fill up faster, but I had no problem securing one pretty last minute.
Look at that sunset we got! And the rain storm from the day before definitely left its mark too. I don't think we had ever seen the water that full.
Logan's dress is from Baltic Born. They have lots of bump-friendly options for you expecting mamas.
And toward the end of our time together, I had Zach and Logan share their baby predictions with each other as the sun was setting.
Then they finished their session by praying together.
Zach and Logan, you're going to be great parents to this little one. What a gift.
P.S. Looking forward to finding out the gender and name!😉
