Almost six years ago, my husband and I were driving home from our honeymoon only to get back in the car the very next day to head to our new home in Raleigh, North Carolina. Shortly after arriving, I began helping coach high school volleyball, and it didn't take long for a sixteen-year-old girl laughing at the end of the bench with me to become one of my first friends in my new city.
On Friday, that friend married her person, and I got to be there to photograph it.
They were married at Pretty Place in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you've been around here for a while, you may know that the blues and greens of our East Coast mountains have my heart. The day was just beautiful.
We started out at Bald Rock for some bridal party and detail photos.
THE CEREMONY
Almond Tree Art live painted the beautiful ceremony scene.
THE RECEPTION
After spending some time getting photos, we headed back down the mountain for the sweetest backyard reception at Cole's uncle's house in Greenville, South Carolina. It was like a little garden party, and I loved it.
I usually end up peeking at the other parent during father/daughter and mother/son dances.
I was so impressed when I found out Cole and his uncle built the four long wood tables at the reception. They were beautiful and perfect for this backyard party.
Congrats, Cole and Lynden!! Your day was special.❤️
